Art instructors and therapists at Skye Designs use a variety of art methods including drawing, painting, tie dying, batiking, sculpting, book making, and collage. Art students range from young children and adults.
Art therapy and art classes at Skye Designs differ in that in the art therapy sessions the primary focus is on the clients inner feelings perceptions and imagination. Art therapy also involves learning art skills. As a result, students, clients are able to resolve their conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal and intrapersonal communication skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem, ad self awareness through the creative process.
